Piya has over 38 years of industry, research, and academic experience to add to his strong academic qualifications. Over the last 18 years, Piya was with EPA Victoria, working in the area of air model regulations, developing guidelines for both AUSPLUME and AERMOD. During this time, he also delivered lectures at RMIT on meteorology and air modelling.

Through his presence within the industry, Piya has helped many air modellers both in Australia and abroad. This exposure in particular, alongside his relevant academic qualifications (specialisation in mesoscale meteorology), has left him well-qualified to deliver air dispersion modelling courses.

 

Piya’s extensive experience over the years working with local air quality modellers, and his up-to-date knowledge of the trends in air dispersion models, has also helped him to develop a state-of-the-art graphical user interface for AERMOD, made specifically with the needs of Australasian modellers in mind.

 

Furthermore, he has developed and presented several training modules, tailoring them to meet regulatory requirements. His passion for teaching has helped many air modellers hailing from various academic and industrial backgrounds.
